Water Supply System Construction Project – Ilé-Errego Village

Image

The Water Supply System Construction Project for Ilé-Errego Village is part of the Safe Water for Villages and Rural Areas Project, funded by the World Bank, aimed at increasing access to water and sanitation services in rural areas and villages in Mozambique. This sub-project focuses on the rehabilitation and modernization of the water supply system for Ilé-Errego Village, which faces challenges such as insufficient water supply (only 3 hours per day on alternate days), outdated equipment, and a limited distribution network. By implementing improvements to the existing infrastructure, the project will ensure continuous access to potable water for residents, fostering a healthier environment and promoting the region’s socioeconomic development. It aligns with national priorities for poverty reduction and environmental sustainability as outlined in the 2020-2024 Five-Year Development Plan (PQG) and PRONASAR.
