WesternGeco is an internationally affiliated company of the Schlumberger Group, which specializes in the provision of geophysical services. Consultec was appointed to conduct the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. Based on the provisions of Decree No. 56/2010 of 22 November (Environmental Regulation for Petroleum Operations), the Ministry for the Coordination of Environmental Action (MICOA) classified the Project as being of Category “A”. Within the EIA, the following specialized studies have been developed: Marine Ecology; Fisheries; Socio-economy.
