The project included in addition to ditches, passages under roads, preparation of lists of quantities and price estimate Consultec also participated in the executive project of some of them, grouped by lots, following World Bank regulations. At the same time, environmental and social impact studies and mitigation measures were carried out for a Class B project. To prevent future flooding and the progress of erosions, the World Bank has included in the “Cities and Climate Change” Program the rain drainage project, which covers the hillside and coastal plain, with areas already developed as well as others with informal settlements that are expected to replace in the near future with urbanized areas in the neighborhoods of Hulene, Costa do Sol and Polana Caniço.
