Preparation and Implementation of the Resettlement Action Plan for the Project of Strengthening and Extension of the National Energy Transmission Network Home|Projects|Preparation and Implementation of the Resettlement Action Plan for the Project of Strengthening and Extension of the National Energy Transmission Network Mozambique's Electricity (EDM) aims to strengthen and extend the current capacity of the national energy transport network in Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane provinces. To this end, a 275 Kv high voltage line will be built connecting the Ressano Garcia substation in Maputo Province to a new substation to be built in Macia/Mazivila, Gaza Province, for a total length of about 140 km. EDM has appointed Consultec to carry out the following activities: Preparation and implementation of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for families who will be potentially affected by the Project. The preparation of the RAP included the following activities: Conducting a detailed census of all affected households Survey of all affected infrastructure, yield crops and fruit trees along the transmission lines.
