Rehabilitation of 7,500 ha in Chokwé Irrigation Scheme Home|Projects|Rehabilitation of 7,500 ha in Chokwé Irrigation Scheme The Rehabilitation Project covered secondary and tertiary irrigation and drainage infrastructure at one of the three sectors within Chókwè irrigation scheme, funded by the Islamic Development Bank and the Government of Mozambique. The specific objective of the project was to improve agriculture production and productivity by smallholders, through the rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary infrastructures for irrigation, drainage and service roads, in about 7,500 hectares at the Hydraulic Sector called “Rio” within Chókwè Irrigated Perimeter. It also covered the rehabilitation of all support infrastructure.
